A frog's life...

For the past weeks frogs are everywhere:
On every newspaper, on every news agency site, on the tv and radio...

The first incident took place in an amusement park in Hamburg, Germany, where more than 1000 frogs had exploded (I don't think that it was a terrorism act, though)

The second incident took place in Lima, Peru. Apparently, there is a local urban myth insisting in the aphrodisiac properties of "an exotic sorbet"***. Instead of exotic mangos, pineapples and passion fruits many Perubian Bars whizzed Telmatobius frogs(!!!) to many extravagant, desperate and mainly weird customers.

French cuisine beware!

***I tried to find the recipe... but nothing came up! Sorry...

Apparently, the combination of massive consumption of water together with some really hungry birds... led to the assumption that the frogs were exploding. Actually, no one came forward to state that he/she really witnessed an exploding frog. The assumption was made because the birds apparently eat only the frog's liver and they leave behind them quite a messy dead (or even badly wounded, but alive) frog!

If anything else comes up, I'll let you know.

cheers
