The movie is a pretty good one (even though some questions* remain unanswered)
Loved the music, especially the low beat pieces and of course the Japanese House ...
Briliant photography...
Not a great story but well directed...
Overall :
Brad Pitt looks old...but still, he is handsome...
Kate Blanchett looks pretty and has perfect skin...
All children acted remarkably well...
Chieko, the Deaf-Mute Japanese girl, has no cellulite...
American authorities (in two continents) do very little (almost too late) for Brad's family...

We went to see that movie about two or three weeks ago. I think it's actually quite good ... not bound to become a classic, but one of the better films of 2006/2007 nonetheless.
BTW: I found your review pretty ... umm, well I'm not sure how to put it ... I think "interesting" is the right word here ... It's amazing what guys notice about females ... I quote: "Kate Blanchett looks pretty and has perfect skin ... Chieko, the Deaf-Mute Japanese girl, has no cellulite...". I didn't notice any of those things when watching the movie ... but maybe that's because I was busy watching Brad (though he's not really my type). :-D
Oh I loved that film. Its has some cool meanings; lack of communication and understanding sucks big time! Also kind actions of some people and small mistakes can cause chaos to others! Um...and Japanese policemen are more polite than American cops. LOL.
But yes there were some "gaps" in the scenario but as Spitogatos said there might a 2nd one just to answer them. :)
Overall, I liked a lot, and I loved the interchange between funny moments and sad ones.

Αααα, ο ευρωπαικός κινηματογράφος είναι άλλο πράγμα, απο άλλο πλανήτη!
