Tragic Story... Great Photos

I was reading an article on WTC attack on the 9/11. There was a web-link of a photographer who lost his life during the collapse of the second tower. The story is as tragic as it can be, while the photos he took during his last moments are telling most of it.

Amazing

I was surfing the net looking for answers on the 9/11 terrorist attack, and I realised that in the US they tend to forget rather easily... or at least that's how it seems to be. Are they still looking for the people responsible for the attacks, Osama and Co.? I've got a feeling that they just don't care. What did really happen on 9/11?

Those photos are amazing indeed ... very moving.

I think for Bush 9/11 was nothing more but the justification he was looking for to finally start a war. I doubt that he ever had any intentions of capturing Osama Bin Laden and holding him responsible for the attacks on the WTC. Bush simply wanted (needed ???) a war (for whatever reason). And 9/11 provided him with the perfect motive to justify a war and convince the American people that this war was the only way to go.

yes , I agree with what you are saying , but yet why no one investigate on the WTC attack ? After all, this attack gave the West the motive to condemn the East and hold them responsible for any further attrocities. What the f**k is going on?

Well, I think Bush needed someone to blame for the attacks on the WTC. And he chose Bin Laden for the role of the villain. Now that he has found his enemy he doesn't need any further investigations on this matter, since they might bring out unwelcome facts that would further harm Bush's popularity.

True ... but the sad thing is that a significant number of Americans still approves of Bush's politics and thinks that he is actually doing a good job.

I'm well aware that Bush's popularity rating is at a very low level and quite many Americans don't approve of his politics anymore. However, I simply don't understand the 37% of the Americans that still think he's doing a good job, and the 51% that re-elected him in 2004, even though it was already more than obvious that this man is not the kind of person that should lead a country like the United States.

You can never have an absolute number of either people supporting or opposing the president's politics. I still believe that the 37% will become 35%, but not less. For the same reason, I believe that in its peak, presidential acceptance and popularity should only reach 65% to 70%. Otherwise we are talking about a non-democratic regime.
